Each year, in the week leading up to World Autism Awareness Day, we encourage the public to take part in World Autism Awareness Week – a full seven days where schools, workplaces and individuals, their families and friends all over the UK are taking part in activities to raise money and awareness for The National Autistic Society.
We’ve come a long way in raising autism awareness but there’s still more to be done until everyone understands autism. We need the public’s support to raise vital funds to continue running campaigns like Too Much Information, training and sharing knowledge with professionals working with autistic people, and so much more – and that’s where you come in.
When is World Autism Awareness Week?
26 March – 2 April 2018
How can I get involved?
There are lots of ways you can get involved. You can get your hands on one of our free fundraising guides, packed full of great ideas on how to raise money during World Autism Awareness Week. You can fundraise your way, at school or at work.
There are other ways you can get involved in World Autism Awareness Week too, including:
- joining us on a Night Walk
- taking part in our new virtual challenge event, 7k for 700k
Can anybody take part?
Of course! World Autism Awareness Week is suitable for all ages. We also have specific resources and ideas if you’re fundraising at a school, and tips for fundraising in the workplace.
This year we have the pleasure of announcing that World Autism Awareness Week will be kindly supported by beloved toymaker PLAYMOBIL.
